Le Jeune, Droit Foncier de Sercq (1978)
Author(s): Louis le Jeune
Title: Le droit foncier de l'île de Sercq,
Remarks:
Le Jeune was a Belgian, long resident in Sark, and a scholar at Caen University. This is his thèse de doctorat, the subject the law of real property in the island of Sark reflecting its title. Although property law and institutions have greatly altered in Sark since the date of his study, the work remains not only of historical interest but also as illustrating such aspects of Sark land law as survive and hence their counterparts in the other Channel Islands. Le Jeune gave papers on retrait lignager in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and on the lack of the separation of powers in Sark, at the Semaines de Droit Normand held at Granville in 1973 at Anjoulême in 1976 Edition(s) (this copy in bold): 1978 (typescript) Provenance of this copy: St John Robilliard CollectionFurther reading:
