Title: Nouveau Traité des Hypoteques avec des remarques sur l'ancien traité

Remarks:

Little is known of Olivier Estienne other than the present volume and that he was born in Nonencourt (Eure) and became an advocate in the Norman parlement. Professor Lemonnier-Lesage (see below) notes that he intended the work as a criticism of Henri Basnage's treatise on the same subject, even to mention it in his title, but this was disallowed.
